In recent days there has been some public discussion on the progress of negotiations with the parties who have shown an interest in participating as core investors in Landssími Íslands hf. It is reiterated here that negotiations have not been terminated, as previously revealed in a notice issued by the Executive Committee on Privatisation to the Iceland Stock Exchange on the 5th of this month. However, the probability of a positive result of the negotiations has faded of late. A decision on whether the process of selling to a core investor may be expected within two weeks.
